From the waters of Lake Pichola in Udaipur, the City Palace rises in stone tiers above royal courtyards and miniature art galleries. Climbing west into the Aravalli Range, Kumbhalgarh Fort commands mountain horizons behind the world's second-longest defensive stone wall.
Descending through mountain ghats, Ranakpur's fifteenth-century Jain temple reveals 1,444 uniquely carved marble pillars. The terrain flattens into the granite kopjes of Jawai Bandh, where open 4x4 safaris track free-ranging leopards living alongside red-turbaned Rabari pastoralists.

Arrival in Udaipur and Lake Pichola Waters
You arrive at Maharana Pratap Airport or Udaipur City Railway Station, where your tour manager greets you. You transfer to your hotel and complete check-in formalities. In the afternoon, you visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, a historic ornamental garden designed with marble fountains and lotus pools. Later, you stroll along the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake before gathering for an evening orientation briefing. You dine at your hotel.
Udaipur Royal Heritage and Palace Cruise
Following breakfast, you explore Udaipur's royal heritage. You visit the adjacent seventeenth-century Jagdish Temple with its carved stone pillars. Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh Fort
After breakfast, you check out and drive northwest through the winding Aravalli Hills to Kumbhalgarh. You check in to your hotel near the fort. In the afternoon, you visit Kumbhalgarh Fort (World Heritage site), walking along sections of its 36-kilometre defensive stone wall. You explore the Badal Mahal (Palace of Clouds) at the highest point of the citadel and examine ancient Hindu and Jain temples within the fort complex before watching the sunset over the hills. You dine at your hotel.
Kumbhalgarh to Ranakpur and Jawai Bandh
Following breakfast, you descend the western Aravalli ghats to Ranakpur. You spend the morning exploring the fifteenth-century Ranakpur Jain Temple, marveling at its complex vaulted ceilings and 1,444 uniquely carved white marble pillars. After your visit, you continue westward into the granite hill landscape of Jawai Bandh. You check in to your wilderness lodge and spend a relaxing afternoon amidst the rural rocky terrain. You dine at the lodge.
Jawai Leopard Safari and Wilderness Drives
You wake before dawn for an early morning 4x4 open safari drive. Accompanied by experienced local trackers, you explore the granite kopjes and hill caves of Jawai, searching for wild leopards emerging on rock slabs in the morning sun. You return to the lodge for breakfast and leisure. In the afternoon, you visit Jawai Dam reservoir, observing large marsh crocodiles basking on shorelines and scanning the water for migratory birds. You embark on an evening leopard tracking drive before returning to the lodge for dinner.
Jawai Bandh to Udaipur
Following breakfast at the lodge, you take a final morning nature drive through the granite hills, observing rural Rabari pastoralists with their herds. You check out and drive eastward along the highway back to Udaipur. Upon arrival, you check in to your hotel and have free time in the afternoon to explore local handicraft markets or relax by the lake. You gather for a farewell dinner in the evening.
Departure from Udaipur
After breakfast, you check out from your hotel. Your tour manager arranges your private transfer to Maharana Pratap Airport or Udaipur City Railway Station for your onward journey.
