We built the company we could not find.
Foxpels designs and runs small-group journeys across India and beyond. Everything here was built by us, not bought from a catalogue.

The Thesis
Why this company exists
The travel industry splits in two, and both halves are incomplete.
On one side, ground operators with real capacity — permits, vehicles, staff in the right towns. They execute superbly, but they serve other people's clients, so they rarely develop a point of view.
On the other, curators with taste and a philosophy but no ground infrastructure, so they subcontract anyway or stay small.
The traveller chooses between someone who can deliver but doesn't know what to build, and someone who knows what to build but can't deliver it.
Foxpels holds both halves in one company. We design in-house and execute through partnerships built over decades.
Accountability
The second thing we noticed
Every travel company claims community benefit. Almost none of it is stated as a number, which means none of it can be checked.
Meanwhile the communities who are the actual reason people come capture a small, undisclosed fraction of what travellers spend.
So we state the number. Where we build directly with a community on Earth Collaborations, it is a minimum of 60% of the experience fee. Where we don't know, we say so.
Tagline
Travel that creates belonging.
Mission
Make belonging the new standard for travel.
Vision
A world where every journey strengthens the communities it enters, the cultures it witnesses, and the land it walks on.

The founder
Utkarsh Kolhe
Founder
Utkarsh Kolhe founded Earth Abroad in Pune; the company's medical tourism business is already operating alongside Foxpels.
He took an MSc in Responsible Tourism Management at Leeds Beckett — one of the few dedicated programmes in the field. In 2026, he was assessed by the GSTC as a competent sustainable tourism auditor against the GSTC Hotel Standard.
That comes from the auditor's training: evaluate a claim against the evidence, not against the intent behind it, with responsible tourism as an operational baseline.
The team
Four people, and everyone does the ground work.
Deliberately small. Nobody sells a journey they haven't been on.
Strategy, partnerships, curation
DMC relationships, community partnerships, trade sales, and final sign-off on everything listed.
Sourcing and curation
Finds and vets new destinations, and owns the quality of every itinerary.
Brand and audience
The journal, the newsletter, and the guides that bring most people here.
Web and digital systems
This site, the trade portal, and the systems behind them.
How we are built
Two sources of supply, one company on the contract.
Waari
Destination management partner
Reach and operational depth across India and beyond. Where a journey needs scale, permits or ground logistics at distance, Waari carries it.
Community partners
Direct partnerships
The only inventory we originate. Earth Collaborations exist because a community chose to build something with us.
Foxpels holds the client contract on every journey. We set the price and carry the responsibility.
What we are not
Five things worth being clear about.
Not a booking engine
No journey completes without a person shaping it.
Not a marketplace
Nothing lists itself here. Everything is chosen.
Not a ground operator
We design and sell; our partners run operations.
Not a charity
This is a commercial business. The community share is contractual, not charitable.
Not uniformly virtuous
Responsibility is graded here, and we publish the grade.

Come and see whether we are any good.
Ask us a difficult question and see what comes back.
