Nilgiri Tea Slopes, Coonoor & Palani Ridges
Traversing two high mountain plateaus of the Western Ghats—the Nilgiris and Palani Hills—this route links colonial tea slopes in Ooty and Coonoor with the shola forests and pillar rocks of Kodaikanal.

The Story
What happens when you arrive

Crossing to the Palani Hills, Kodaikanal reveals cliffside walks along Coaker’s Walk, the 300-foot vertical granite monoliths of Pillar Rocks, dense pine woods, and the star-shaped waters of Kodai Lake.
Cultural Context
