DAY 01

Arrival in Madurai and Meenakshi Amman Temple

You arrive at Madurai Airport or Madurai Junction Railway Station, where your tour manager greets you. You transfer to your hotel and complete check-in. In the afternoon, you visit the monumental Meenakshi Amman Temple. You walk barefoot through its soaring multi-tiered gopurams, marveling at the Thousand Pillar Hall and the sacred Golden Lotus Tank. In the evening, you take an orientation stroll through the lively temple bazaar streets and dine at your hotel.

DAY 02

Madurai to Rameshwaram across Pamban Bridge

Following breakfast, you check out and drive eastward across the southern plains of Tamil Nadu. You cross the historic Pamban Sea Bridge, taking in sweeping views of the turquoise ocean on both sides as you enter Pamban Island. You arrive in Rameshwaram, check in to your hotel, and visit Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple in the afternoon, walking along its magnificent 1,200-metre carved granite outer corridor. You dine at your hotel.

DAY 03

Rameshwaram Sacred Wells, Dr. Kalam Memorial and Dhanushkodi

You begin the morning with a visit to Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple to observe the ritual bathing at the 22 sacred theertham wells. After breakfast, you visit the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial and his ancestral house, celebrating the life of India's former President and scientist. In the afternoon, you travel along the narrow coastal road to the ghost town of Dhanushkodi, exploring the cyclone-ruined church and railway station, and standing at Arichal Munai at the meeting of the seas. You return to Rameshwaram for dinner.

DAY 04

Rameshwaram to Kanyakumari via Suchindram Temple

Following breakfast, you check out and drive south along the coastal highway toward the southern tip of India. You stop at Suchindram to visit the Thanumalayan Temple, admiring its unique shrine dedicated to the Trinity (Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva) and its 18-foot Hanuman statue. You arrive in Kanyakumari, check in to your hotel, and board the ferry to the Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Gandhi Mandapam. In the evening, you watch the sunset over the Triveni Sangam. You dine at your hotel.

DAY 05

Kanyakumari Sunrise and Departure Transfer

You wake early to witness the sunrise over the confluence of the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean. Following breakfast, you check out from your hotel and board your private vehicle for the transfer to Madurai Airport (or Trivandrum Airport/Railway Station).
