DAY 01

Arrival in Trivandrum and Transfer to Kovalam

You arrive at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport or Railway Station, where your tour manager greets you. You board your private vehicle and make a short transfer to Kovalam, checking in to your beach resort. In the late afternoon, you visit the crescent shores of Kovalam Beach, observing local catamarans resting on the sand and watching the sunset over the Arabian Sea. In the evening, your group gathers for a welcome briefing covering the sacred traditions and coastal geography of the days ahead. You dine at the resort on regional coastal cuisine.

DAY 02

Sacred Padmanabhaswamy and Poovar Mangrove Estuary

After breakfast, you visit the grand Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, admiring its 100-foot stone Dravidian gopuram and sculpted granite corridors from the temple courtyard. Next, you explore the nearby Napier Museum and Sree Chithra Art Gallery to view classical Travancore bronzes and historical paintings. In the afternoon, you drive south to Poovar Island, boarding a country boat for a serene cruise through dense mangrove channels and backwater lagoons where the river meets the Arabian Sea. You return to Kovalam for dinner.

DAY 03

Kovalam to Suchindram and Kanyakumari

Following breakfast, you check out and drive south across the state border into Tamil Nadu toward Kanyakumari. En route, you stop at Suchindram to visit the ancient Thanumalayan Temple, marveling at its towering seven-tier gopuram, the 18-foot monolithic Hanuman statue, and the famous musical granite pillars. You continue to Kanyakumari, checking in to your hotel near the coast. In the late afternoon, you visit the Gandhi Memorial Mandapam, designed in the style of an Orissan temple, and gather at the shore to watch a spectacular sunset over the confluence of three seas.

DAY 04

Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Sacred Confluence

You wake early to witness the sunrise rising directly out of the ocean at Triveni Sangam, where the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean merge. After breakfast, you board a passenger ferry across open waters to the offshore Vivekananda Rock Memorial, exploring the meditation hall and mandapam built upon the sacred rock. You also view the towering stone Thiruvalluvar Statue on the adjacent outcrop. Returning to the mainland, you visit the ancient Kanyakumari Amman Temple, dedicated to the guardian goddess of the coast. You spend the evening at leisure exploring Kanyakumari’s coastal bazaar.

DAY 05

Kanyakumari to Jatayu Earth Centre and Kovalam

After breakfast, you begin the return journey northward into Kerala. You drive along the highway to Chadayamangalam to visit Jatayu Earth Centre, taking a scenic cable car ride to the hilltop to see the massive 200-foot stone bird sculpture honoring the mythical demi-god Jatayu. You walk around the hilltop nature reserve and visit the ancient Ram Temple atop the rock. In the afternoon, you continue to Kovalam, check in to your resort, and spend a relaxing final evening by the ocean.

DAY 06

Vizhinjam Lighthouse and Departure

Following breakfast, you visit the historic Vizhinjam Lighthouse on Lighthouse Beach, ascending the tower for panoramic views of the coastal palm canopy and the bustling fishing harbour below. You check out of your resort, and your tour manager arranges your private transfer to Thiruvananthapuram International Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
