The Rushing River and the Evening Flame
Ganges Rapids, Shivalik Ashrams & Har Ki Pauri
A focused short break into the spiritual gateway of the Garhwal Himalayas, combining white-water rafting on the Ganges with riverside camp life, suspension bridge walks, and the Har Ki Pauri Aarti.

The Story
What happens when you arrive
Traveling from Delhi into the forested Shivalik foothills of Rishikesh, the journey is based at an eco-camp along the emerald banks of the Ganges, navigating Class II and III rapids through forested river canyons.
Downstream in Rishikesh, suspension bridges link riverside ashrams before an evening gathering at Haridwar's Har Ki Pauri to witness the grand Ganga Aarti fire ceremony as brass lamps illuminate the water.
Cultural Context
The Gateway of Devotion and Yogic Lineages
The Garhwal gateway represents the foundational axis of Hindu pilgrimage and yoga philosophy. Evening fire aartis at Har Ki Pauri and riverside ashrams in Rishikesh maintain unbroken devotional traditions where the glacial Ganges meets the north Indian plains.
