What happens when you arrive
From Hubli, the journey travels north to Badami, where four rock-cut cave temples carved in the sixth century overlook the calm waters of Agastya Lake.
After studying early temple architecture at Aihole and Pattadakal, the route explores the vast ruins of Hampi along the Tungabhadra River, visiting Virupaksha Temple, the Stone Chariot, and the Vijaya Vittala musical pillars.

Arrival in Hubli and Drive to Badami
You arrive at Hubli Airport or Railway Station, where your tour manager greets you. You board your private vehicle and drive north to Badami. You check in to your hotel and spend the late afternoon visiting the 7th-century Bhutanatha Temple on the eastern bank of Agastya Lake, watching the sunset light reflect across the water. You dine at your hotel.
Badami Sandstone Caves, Pattadakal and Aihole to Hampi
Following breakfast, you visit the four rock-cut Badami Cave Temples carved into the sandstone cliffs. You explore Cave 1 (Nataraja), Cave 2 and 3 (Vishnu avatars), and Cave 4 (Jain Tirthankaras). You drive to Pattadakal (World Heritage site) to walk through the 8th-century temple complex, then visit the Durga Temple and Lad Khan Temple in Aihole. In the afternoon, you continue to Hampi, check in to your hotel, and dine in the evening.
Hampi World Heritage Ruins Exploration
You spend the day exploring the monuments of Hampi. You visit the active Virupaksha Temple on the Tungabhadra riverbank, walking through its ancient bazaar street. You proceed to the Vijaya Vittala Temple complex to see the carved Stone Chariot and the hall of musical granite pillars. In the afternoon, you explore the royal Zenana enclosure, visiting Lotus Mahal, the Elephant Stables, and Hazara Rama Temple. You dine at your hotel.
Hampi to Hubli and Departure
Following breakfast, you check out from your hotel and board your private vehicle for the return drive to Hubli. Your tour manager arranges your drop-off at Hubli Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
